Books 2, 3 and 4 of the Tattersalls October Yearling Sale are now online, following the release of Book 1 last week.

The star graduate of Book 2 this racing season has been the Derby hero Desert Crown (GB) (Nathaniel {Ire}), bred by Gary Robinson's Strawberry Fields Stud, while other notable Book 2 performers include State Of Rest (Ire) (Starspangledbanner {Aus}) and Group 2-winning two-year-old Royal Scßotsman (Ire) (Gleneagles {Ire}).

The three-day Book 2, which starts on October 10, contains 821 yearlings, with a further 642 catalogued for Book 3 and 85 in Book 4 in the ensuing three days to October 15.

“There can be no better advertisement for a catalogue than selling the winner of the Derby and Desert Crown has been an outstanding ambassador for October Book 2, as has the 60,000 guineas purchase and four-time Group 1 winner State Of Rest,” said Tattersalls chairman Edmond Mahony. “Both are perfect illustrations of the quality and value to be found during the second week of the Tattersalls October Yearling Sale and why it is the focus for so many yearling buyers from throughout Europe and further afield. Demand for places has enabled us to assemble outstanding catalogues which showcase so many of the best British and Irish bred yearlings and will cater for all sectors of the market.”
